About Sue
Sue has been a journalist, a PR consultant, a media trainer and a strategist. She has worked both in-house and agency, with a variety of experience including
- Media Manager at one of IBM’s leading distributors,
- PR for Sun Microsystems ™ partners,
- Cosmopolitan © range of lingerie & handbags (licensing contracts & PR)
- PR for Jane Shilton
- PR for Central Trains, part of the National Express Group.
In 1986, Sue joined Rote Public Relations and Osborn Studios. Shortly afterwards, the two companies were acquired by Shandwick plc – at that time the World’s largest independent PR consultancy. Sue worked on a variety of accounts, including Bass, M&B, Washington Green Fine Art Publishers and Scrivens Opticians.
In 1994 Sue was approached to set up a PR division for a Birmingham Graphic Design studio. Projects ranged from retailer relations and communications audits, to promoting and marketing the largest art and conservation exhibition the World had seen at the ICC.
In February 1997 Sue launched her own consultancy Big Results PR and provides both consultancy and media training, and in 2012 she established a sister company, Big Results Training. Now Sue offers consultancy and training on PR, Communications, Soft skills and Media Interviews.
