Why we need to eliminate corporate BS

As we trudge ever further into the fog of “fake news”, are we at risk of immersing so intensively that simply don’t recognise corporate BS?

FT’s Lucy Kellaway has spent the last 20 years calling out the corporates, the “thought-leaders”, and the 110%’ers.

Does it matter?  Well we think it does.  Not only does excessive use of corporate BS shove us closer to the need for drama in all our news outlets, sensationalism in news then overtakes the facts.  Giving the appearance of “fake news” – when the story itself could have been perfectly legitimate.

Like Lucy Kellaway, we urge you to return to plain speaking.   BS or pimping up your press release undermines the news itself.

Danger of the BS Blog

The ubiquitous blogs and news sections of websites (hardly any of which are policed by trained editors) provides even more temptation to get carried away.  Every use of BS means we are reducing interesting facts into hyperbole, which will be taken less seriously.
